Join us November 12-16 for the trip of a lifetime!
Shelter invites you on a Service Trip to Honduras. You will get to experience the rich culture Honduras has to offer, all while giving back to families in need in a very meaningful way.
Two Houses. Two families lives changed forever.
You will be hands-on in building two homes for families experiencing extreme poverty in Honduras. The impact of stable shelter can empower a family to invest in their children's nutrition and education and can help a family break the cycle of poverty.
Hunger Relief
Our team will also be distributing 100 Hunger Relief Bundles to families and individuals in need. A Hunger Relief Bundle typically feeds a family for 5-7 days depending on family size and can be a god send for folks who do not know where their next meal is coming from or how they will put food on the table for their children that day.

The weather is typically still warm in Tegucigalpa in April; however, we recommend you bring a light jacket and long pants for the evenings. You will also want to make sure you pack a set of clothes you don't mind getting dirty as well as sturdy tennis shoes for the house build day. The hotel also has a pool so pack a swimsuit if you plan to swim.
These are by no means required, but are some items that we suggest from personal experience!
- A hat
- Bug spray
- Sunscreen
- Shoes/boots with traction that you're okay getting dirty
- Sandals/slides for dinner etc
- Granola bars, protein bars, jerky (easy access filling snacks you can carry on your person)
- Long pants
- A sweatshirt or light jacket for cooler evenings
